Passenger bus catches fire in Budgam

Srinagar January, 16 (PTK) A passenger bus belonging to Road Transport Corporation, erstwhile known as SRTC, was damaged in a fire incident on Monday morning in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The incident occurred near Shunglipora bus station of the district at 7 in the morning, eyewitnesses said.

They said that bus parked at Shunglipora bus station caught fire due to short circuit and within a jiffy, the bus was in flames.

They said the bus caught fire and was damaged quickly as it is made up of fiber.

They said that locals doused off fire before fire tenders reached there.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation. (PTK)
