DC Poonch reviews functioning of Health and Wellness Centres
Directs to complete the 30 + screening of NCD before Dec 31
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR POONCH, DECEMBeR 26: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting of the staff of Health and Wellness centre to review the performance of Mid Level Health Providers (MLHP) here in the conference hall of DC office Complex.
At the outset, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Shamim Bhatti gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the achievements and progress under different schemes and the status under MLHP.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review with regard to the profile & functioning of HWCs including availability of Health Services, Status of operationalization of HWCs, Financial Status Infrastructure of HWCs, Screening of Population in the District etc.

The Deputy Commissioner strictly directed all Mid level Health Providers to complete their 30 + screening of NCD before 31 December and asked the MLHPs to work as per their job profile. Moreover, the CMO was directed to submit proposals of all Health and Wellness Centers whose infrastructure work and facet branding is pending.
At the end of the meeting, the chair also directed MLHPS to provide all medical facilities to the local people and asked the medical staff to be punctual towards their duty. “No salary will be released for those employees whose work is not satisfactory,” the DC directed and asked the CMO to submit the list of non- performing ASHAs.
The meeting was attended by BMO Mendhar, Dr.Parviaz Khan; BMO Mandi, Dr.Nusrat Bhatti; BMO Surankote, Dr.Sudeshwar Kumar besides, Doctors, District Accounts manager, DME & O MLHPs and staff nurses under NCD were present.
