DC B’la Chairs DLTFC Meeting, discusses Fixation, Revision of sale Price of Minor Minerals
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 23: In order to refix the rates of the minor minerals both Raw and Processed in Baramulla district, a meeting of District Level Task Force Cell was today held at DC Office here under the Chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar.
The meeting was convened to discuss various measures for the fixation/revision of sale price of Minor Minerals including sand, gravel, bajri and other related raw materials.
At the outset, a detailed discussion on various matters was held during which it was informed that the price/sale of minerals shall be evaluated keeping in consideration various parameters including bidding cost, mining cost, royalty DMF, loading & unloading costs, transportation cost and other miscellaneous costs.

Deputy Commissioner, who is also Chairperson of DLTFC, directed the concerned officers to implement the rates of minor minerals at source level in letter and spirit so that common people and the stakeholders do not face the brunt of exorbitant rates.
She also directed Police, District Mineral Officer Baramulla and other concerned agencies to strengthen the mechanism of checking illegal excavation of sand and other minerals from river beds and directed for immediate installation of nakkas at already identified locations.
Additional SP Baramulla, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, District Minerals Officer Peer Zahid, Divisional Forest Officer Parveez Ahmad Wani and various other concerned officer were attend the meeting.
