Six months on, installed transformer yet to be made functional in Kangan

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Even after elapse of six months, a transformer installed in Ganaie Mohalla Hayan kangan hasn’t been made functional due to unknown reasons.

Dozens of inhabitants of Hayan were hopeful to receive the electric supply from this transformer when the Kashmir Power Development Corporation installed a transformer in their locality, however, due to unknown reasons it hasn’t been made functional yet

The transformer is there to decay without being put to use while we are compelled to face problems in bone chilling winter, they said.

They added that despite informing higher ups about the issue several times, they aren’t giving any attention towards it.

They said that whenever we contact the contractor, he says, AEE concerned isn’t allowing him to charge the transformer.

Meanwhile, AEE PDD Kangan told the Press Trust of Kashmir, that it is under project wing and hasn’t been handed over to him as of now.

Once it will be handed over, it will be made functional, he said. :-PTK
