DC Samba addresses public grievances at Rakh Ambtali Samba
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SAMBA, OCTOBER 12: In continuation of efforts towards promotion of efficient and effective public services delivery and public grievances redressal mechanism, District Administration Samba today conducted weekly block Diwas Program here at Panchayat Ghar Rakh Ambtali.
Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, listened and addressed the public grievances put across by locals through PRI members.
DDC member, Subhash Bhagat, Sarpanch Vinod Kumar besides others elected members and district officers were present on the occasion.
During the Block Diwas programme delegations from different panchayats and individuals appraised the DC regarding various problems. They demanded tap water connections, adequate power supply, maintenance and construction of rural roads, coverage of left out families under social security schemes and other local issues.
The Deputy Commissioner, while taking cognizance of public demands, directed the line departments to share details on scheduled powers cuts, progress achievements under govt sponsored schemes besides ensuring that all grievances are properly documented and action taken report is also submitted to her office.

The DC assured the public that each issue will be taken up and resolved within a stipulated time frame. Directions were issued to all executing agencies to immediately start work on the tendered works failing which strict action shall be taken. She gave detailed information about initiatives of Government about online services of various departments and arrangement of CSC operators in tehsil offices to help the public in applying online. She also asked people to avail benefits of Ayushman scheme, Aadhar enrolment, highly beneficial insurance schemes like Jeevan Surksha Yojna etc.
The Deputy Commissioner Samba also imparted awareness to the public on Dengue and exhorted upon Health and line departments to extensively carry out precautionary measures against spread of the vector borne disease.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the developmental works taken up by Rural Development Department in panchayat Rakh Ambtali in presence of locals, panches and officers.
