DC Kishtwar holds introductory meeting with media persons

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today convened an introductory meeting with the local Media fraternity.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal; ADC, Kishori Lal Sharma; DSWO, Zubair Ahmed; District Information Officer Amit Kumar were also present in the meeting.
The Media Fraternity apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the issues of media persons in Kishtwar besides, demanded to expedite work on the establishment of a Press club in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner listened to the grievances of the media fraternity and assured them that their issues will be resolved in a time bound manner.
He further informed them that funds are available and the renovation of the building identified for the establishment of Press Club will be completed soon and handed over to the Information Department for further use as press club.

Appreciating the role of the media fraternity in highlighting the development of the district, the DC called for focusing on positive and constructive reporting.
Besides, the issues like verification of unauthorised media persons, awareness regarding the drug menace and current Developmental scenario in the district were also discussed in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the media fraternity to reach out to the public and ensure that their issues are brought into the notice of the administration through effective and a modular feedback mechanism.
