DC Budgam reviews “Catch the Rain-2022”campaign in the district
Stresses on timely completion of all works; instructs concerned to submit status of Jal Shakti Abhiyan works on regular basis
PRESS TRUSAT OF KASHMIR BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid today chaired a meeting with the Jal Shakti Department of district Budgam to review the status of the “Catch the Rain-2022”campaign.
A central team led by T C Gupta, Director Defense/ Chief Nodal Officer Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Dr KS Rawat Scientist CGWB/ Technical Officer Jal Shakti Abiyan who are on visit to take stock of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan also attended the meeting.
At the outset, Ex. Engineer Irrigation Budgam, Ambreena Anjum highlighted the status of water conservation works completed and under progress across the district, through a powerpoint presentation.
The central team was also apprised about the District Conservation Plan and overall scenario of “Catch the Rain-2022”campaign.

In the meeting the team was apprised about the status of campaign by PHE Budgam, PHE Chadoora and Irrigation Division Budgam.
In this regard Executive Engineer Irrigation Division Budgam apprised that in Budgam district there is Rain gauge in Chrar i Sharief and Jal Shakti Kendra in PHE Budgam office.
The team from the centre instructed to upload all the data and work done in Jal Shakti Abhiyan on the official website of “Catch the Rain” Jal Shakti Abhiyan Portal.
DC directed Officers of the Jal Shakti department to submit all the financial details of work done in the district under catch the Rain Abhiyan.
He directed them to submit all the geo-tagged photographs related to abhiyan and status of works on regular basis.
