PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR | GANDERBAL : A grand Tiranga rally was held in Chattergul area of Ganderbal under the banner of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The main aim of organizing the Tiranga programme is to spread the campaign in every nook and corner of the district and to encourage the people living in the remote areas also to hoist the national flag at their homes.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked Indians to hoist the national flag at their homes for three days- (August 13-15) as part ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme.

Mohammad Ibrahim khataria, panch of panchayat halqa Chattergul said that this program has been initiated by government and we welcome it.
Since 1947 , we have been respecting and loving this tiranga and all must hoist tricolour on their houses, he said.
Social and Political Activist Atta Mohammad said that all have been respecting this flag since 1947 and we have organised this program with all local youth and students.
He said that aim behind organising this program is to ignite patriotism among youth and make them understand the meaning of three colours of flags in which there peace, communal harmony and everything and we salute it and all must hoist it and have love and respect for it forever.
