Bootlegger arrested in handwara 

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR July 31: Acting tough against the social crimes, Police in Handwara arrested a bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.

A police party of Police Station Qalamabad at a checkpoint established at Yahama Crossing intercepted a person identified as Gh Mohd Lone son of Jabbar Lone resident of Yahama. During checking, 20 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 49/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Qalamabad  and investigation has been initiated.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding anti social elements in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in anti social activities will be dealt as per law.
