Local militant killed in overnight Bla encounter

Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar july 31 : A local militant affiliated with LeT was killed an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Binner area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official said that a joint of team of police and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.

He said that during exchange of fire, a militant was killed who has been identified sa Irshad Ahmed Bhat from Pattan Baramulla.

“BaramullaEncounterUpdate: Killed militant has been identified as Irshad Ahmd Bhat of Pattan #Baramulla, active since 5/2022 & linked with proscribed # outfit LeT. 01 AK rifle, 2 magazines & 30 rounds recovered.” Kashmir Police zone tweeted.

It is pertinent to mention here that a newly recruited militant from Kupwara was killed in an encounter in Wanigam Baramulla on Saturday.
