DC inaugurates 50 bedded KGBV Girls Hostel at Banimulla, Kulgam
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KULGAM, JULY 26: A 50 bedded Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Girls hostel at Banimulla Kulgam was today inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.

The 50 bedded hostel that has come up with an estimated cost of Rs. 30 lac will house girl students, especially of SC, ST and BPL section of society.
It was informed that the school started its functioning as day boarding in 2011 and today the school was made fully residential.
Addressing the gathering, the DC complimented CEO and others concerned for their efforts to make the residential hostel functional in Banimulla. He also urged the authorities of education to extend all requisite facilities to the students and ensure their stay comfortable and memorable in the hostel.

The DC emphasised the enrolled girl students to make best possible utilization of time with sincere efforts to achieve desired career goals.
He also assured full support to the institution from Administration and urged the teaching faculty to inculcate intense, in-depth reading habits among the students.
Earlier, the students also presented a skit with punch line/title, “line mai rehna bhol jao – online ban jao” to disseminate information of various online services and the content and delivery of lines/dialogues were widely appreciated by the audience and the DC too.
