H&ME issues final show case notice to 16 doctors for unauthorized absence
Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar :- Health and Medical Education Department has issued a final show case notice to 16 doctors for unauthorized absence.
“WHEREAS, vide communication No. DHSJ/Es-3/Notice/2904 dated 23.12.2020 and No. Est/3/1-133/2673 dated 18.11.2020, the Director, Health Services, Jammu and Director, Health Services, Kashmir respectively had intimated that among others, the sixteen (16) doctors resorted to un authorized absence from duties and in some cases notices were served to these doctors by Director Health Services, Jammu/Kashmir and in some cases by Administrative Department, wherein, an opportunity was given to them to resume their duties immediately, otherwise disciplinary action shall be initiated against them as warranted under rules.” Reads the show case notice.
“AND WHEREAS, most of these doctor neither replied to notice nor reported back for duties and continuous unauthorized absence of these doctors from official duties for such a long period of time clearly indicates that they are non serious towards their official duties and not interested in Government job.” It adds.
“Now, therefore, a final notice is issued to these doctors to explain their position as to why their services shall not be terminated in terms of Article 128 of J&K CSR, 1956, Vol-I, for remaining on unauthorized absent from duties, willfully, within a period of 15 days from the issuance of this notice, failing which it shall be presumed that they have nothing to say in thier defense and disciplinary proceedings shall be initiated against them, ex-parte.” It adds further.:-PTK.
