3 dead over dozen injured after bus carrying pilgrims caught fire in Katra
Karta May 13 (PTK) At least three persons died while as around 18 more were injured after a bus carrying pilgrims caught fire in Karta area of Jammu division.
An official said that bus with pilgrims on board caught fire in Katra when it was on the way to Jammu from Katra.
He said that incident took place near Nomai area of Katra.
He said that bus no JK14/1831 on way from Katra to Jammu caught fire and probable cause is being ascertained.
He added that in the incident three casualties have been reported and around 18 more are said to be injured.
He said that FSL team has been deputed on spot and further investigation has been taken up.
Meanwhile Dr Jitender singh MoS and PMO in a tweet said that two casualties have been reported and injured have been shifted yo hospital.
He said all possible help will be provided to injured.
“Immediately after receiving information of Bus mishap at #Katra, just now spoke to Deputy Commissioner, #Reasi (J&K),Ms Babila Rakhwal. 2 casualties reported, injured shifted to Naraina Hospital. All possible help, financially and otherwise, will be provided to the injured.” He tweeted. (PTK)
