Police arrests two Gamblers in Ganderbal, stake money recovered

Press Trust of Kashmir |Ganderbal : police on Thursday recovered a stake money of Rs 2800 as two gamblers were arrested in the area.

An official told the PTK  that acting swiftly upon a specific information regarding gambling in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora,Police team led by I/C PP Shadipora Sub Inspector Gulzar Ahmad under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Ganderbal raided the place of gambling at Forest Compartment No.02 Lathi Authkhuroo, Shadipora and arrested two persons on spot.

He identified the accused persons as Fayaz Ahmad Bhat S/O Ghulam Nabi Bhat R/O Wanipora, Saloora Ganderbal and Ghulam Hassan Bhat S/O Ghulam Mohammad Bhat R/O Reshipora, Ganderbal. Stake money of Rs. 2800/- and a deck of playing cards were also recovered from them.

He added that in this connection, Case FIR No. 143/2021, U/S 13 Gambling Act registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation taken up.
