Ganderbal police arrests 10 persons, seizes 10 vehicles, cases under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been initiated.
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR | GANDERBAL : Police in Ganderbal have arrested 10 persons and seized 10 vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Ganderbal.
Officers from Police Station Ganderbal led by SHO Ganderbal arrested ten persons and seized ten vehicles (Tippers) involved in extraction and transportation of raw materials illegally extracted from Sindh nallah. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been initiated.
Police requests the people not to indulge in illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.(PTK)

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR | KULGAM : Police in Kulgam recovered a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused person involved in the commission of crime.
On 17/06/2021, PS Qaimoh received a complaint from a person stating therein that his daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by one person namely Aijaz Ahmad Ganie son of Mohd Jalil Ganie resident of Goufbal Qaimoh.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 50/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Qaimoh and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation a team headed by SHO PS Qaimoh under the supervision of SDPO Qazigund was constituted. Acting on specific leads and by utilizing all available means, the team was able to recover the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused person from Yaripora area within 24 hours after the complaint was received. The accused has been shifted to PS Qaimoh where he remains in custody.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs. Investigation into the matter is in progress.

Swift action by police against anti-social elements has been appreciated by the locals. Community members are requested to cooperate with police in curbing social crimes in their neighbourhood.
