Altaf Thakur hits out at Waseem Rizvi, says Quran a book of love not violence

Says No place for people like Rizvi in Islam, Iran govt must act against him

Srinagar, March 13 (PTK) Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur lashed out at Waseem Rizvi for approaching supreme court to delete 26 verses of holy Quran, stating that Rizvi’s remarks are unacceptable and that Quran teaches love, brotherhood and peace, not violence.

In a statement issued PTK,  Quran teaches forgiveness not violence, Thakur said Iran government must act quickly against Rizvi and arrest him for his blasphemous remarks and hurting the religious sentiments of billions of Muslims across the globe.

Thakur urged people to maintain discipline, remain calm and not to take law in their hands.

Thakur said: “Allah himself is the protector of this holy book, which teaches humanity,” he said.

Quran is a complete way of living and will remain till the day of judgement. He said no power on earth can change even one word of the holy quran let alone Rizvi.

Rizvi moved to Supreme Court seeking deletion of 26 verses from the holy Quran on the pretext that “these verses teach hatred, violence

He is not a Muslim and “I demand that he should taken to task and reprimanded by Iran government. There is no place for people like Rizvi in Islam.”

Thakur however, appealed to maintain calm, control their emotions while reacting against Rizvi’s remarks. (PTK)
