Vehicle plunges into chenab river, two feared dead

Srinigar 22 Nov (PTK) :A Tata Sumo taxi bearing registeration number (JK02BF-6657) fell in Chenab at Mehad near Cafeteria Mod on the outskirts of Ramban town on Mondayevening (around 6pm).

Officials said that both occupants are feared to have been drowned and dead.

They said that soon after the incident,the Ramban poice and volunteers reached the spot and started the search opertion.

They said that initial reports indicate that it was a Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registeration no JK02BF- 6657 and two persons are missing since last night and most probably they were in the said vehicle at the time of the accident.

They identifeid them as driver Maya Ram S/O Suram Chand, 40 year(driver)

and Parvinder Singh,18 S/o Chadak Singh(SPO, both residents of Kumait

Later,at night due to rain and darkness the search operation was called off and it resumed today morning, they said(PTK)
