RTO Kashmir asks ARTO’s to check over charging of fare by public transporters

kashmir Oct 09 (PTK):Regional Transport officer Kashmir has asked assistant regional transport officers to check over charging of fare by the public transporters and without following any standard operating procedures.

In a letter to ARTO’s of Kashmir division, RTO mentioned that this office has received various complaints from the general public of different districts regarding overcharging of fare by the public transporters and without following any Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs.

In this connection, you are requested to liase with the concerned Deputy Superintends of Police (Traffic) to ascertain the complaints and redress the grievance of the general public, reads the letter,adding that further all the concerned Transport Companies/ agencies be sensitized about the fare to charged from the public and fare charts be displayed at all bus stops/sumo stands as well as inside the passenger vehicle for the convenience of the general public.(PTK)
