Six more die of Covid in Kashmir, toll reaches 324

Srinagar, (PTK): Six new COVID19 related deaths reported on Monday in Kashmir, taking fatalities count in UT’s of Jammu and Kashmir to 324.

Officials said that six patients who died due to virus include 65-year-old from latar masjid Safakadal Srinagar, 65-year-old from Hanjoora village of Chadoora district Budgam, 60-year-old man from Hawal Srinagar, 60-year old man from Bemina Srinagar, 70-year-old man from Behipora village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district and 60-year-old from Buchpora Srinagar.

An official at SMHS hospital, said that a patient from Safakadal was admitted few days ago with hypertension and bilateral pneumonia.

The patient died on Sunday evening and tested positive for COVID after his death

An official at SKIMS said that a patient from Budgam was admitted on 21 July, died on Monday wee hours.

He added that a patient from hawal was admitted in the hospital on 18 July with various ailments, died in the intervening night of Sunday-Monday.

Regarding a patient from Bemina he said that the patient was admitted on 25 July, with community acquired pneumonia, died on Monday morning.

Regarding a patient from Kulgam he said that patients was admitted on wee hours of Monday, sccumbed after arrival.

He further said that a patient from Buchpora was admitted on 23 July, died in Monday morning.

With six fresh deaths, the total count of fatalities related to COVID19 climbs to 324 which include 23 from Jammu division and 301 from Kashmir division.
