Encounter starts in Qaimoh Kulgam

SRINAGAR  MAY(PTK) Encounter starts between government forces and militants in Wanpora village in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district on Saturday morning.

An official said that cordon and search Operation was launched in the area by joint team of forces including 1 RR, CRPF and Kulgam Police on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As forces zeroed in towards suspected spot, hiding fired upon forces which was retialated, trigerring an encounter, he said

Two militants are believed to be trapped and operation was under way when this report was filled.(PTK)
