Party Leaders not allowed to move, facing harassment. JKPCC
Srinagar May 5, 2020. The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today slammed the UT Administration over not allowing its Party leaders to move, saying that BJP leaders were reportedly being facilitated to visit different places in J&K UT & Ladakh.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) censured the UT Administration over imposing curbs on Congress Party Leaders, who have been placed under house arrest since August 5 2019 in Kashmir as well in Jammu.
JKPCC President G.A. Mir and various other leaders have been confined to four walls, whilst various BJP Leaders were reportedly being facilitated to visit different places in J&K including Ladakh, which is not only unfortunate, but condemnable on the Party of Authorities.
It was quite astonishing that even our Party Workers, who remained engrossed with relief measures amid ongoing Lockdown in J&K were harassed at various places and not allowed to reach out to people, but they continued their with passion to help people despite the unnecessary restrictions imposed on their movement, PCC said.
The Party asked the UT Administration not to discriminate with the Congress Party and allow JKPCC President G.A. Mir and other Senior Leaders to visit Kashmir, besides allowing our local Party Leader to reach out to people with relief and other necessary items, so that the help could reach to needy people amid ongoing lockdown.
JKPCC lodged strong protest with the UT Administration seeking lifting of curbs on JKPCC President and other Senior Party leaders, besides seeking adequate security to them.
Adding that Congress Party won’t be cowed down by confining its leader to four walls, it will continue to work of the people.(PTK)
