Police arrest 2 drug peddlers in Baramulla; Contraband substance recovered
Baramulla, April 24(PTK):
Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Baramulla Police have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered a substantial quantity of contraband substance from their possession.
A Police party of Police Post Mirgund headed by IC PP Mirgund at a checkpoint established at Check Raza Khan. During checking, an Alto vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-3940 was intercepted. The vehicle was occupied by two individuals 1.Parvaiz Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Ahad Shah resident of Lolab Kupwara presently residing at Rambailgarh 2. Khushboo Jan daughter of Bashir Ahmad Parray resident of Rambailgarh. During the search 794 grams and 352 grams of contraband Charas like powder were recovered from their possession.Both individuals have been arrested.
The vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Pattan and further investigation has been initiated.
