Water Shortage Sparks Protest in Srinagar, Women Block Kralkhud Road

Srinagar, October 03 (PTK): Protesting the persistent shortage of drinking water, women from Basant Bagh, Habakadal and Kralkhud areas of Srinagar took to the streets on Saturday, blocking the Kralkhud road and disrupting vehicular movement.
The protesters raised slogans against the concerned authorities, expressing frustration over the failure to ensure a regular supply of drinking water in their localities. They said the prolonged shortage had caused considerable inconvenience to residents, who were struggling to meet their daily water requirements.
The agitating women demanded immediate intervention from the concerned department, urging officials to take concrete measures to restore regular water supply without further delay.
The road blockade affected traffic movement in the area as the protesters continued their demonstration, seeking an early resolution to the ongoing water crisis.
The residents appealed to the administration to address their grievances promptly and ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the affected localities. Reduce repetitive water-shortage.(PTK)
