DC Ramban inspects progress of major development projects

RAMBAN, OCTOBER 02(PTK): Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan today inspected the progress of work on major development projects coming up in Ramban town and adjoining areas.The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Ranjeet Singh and other concerned officers.During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the progress of  work on the office building of the Law Department. He directed the Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) to ensure timely completion of the project within the prescribed timeline, enabling the department to shift and commence functioning from the newly constructed premises. The building is being constructed by the PWD at allotted cost of over ₹72 lakh.The DC also inspected the construction work of the 300-metre span pre-stressed concrete (PSC) cantilever motorable bridge over River Chenab, connecting Ramban town with Maitra. The bridge is of vital importance for strengthening road connectivity towards Gool Sub-Division and adjoining areas and will also facilitate connectivity to various major developmental projects in the region. The project is being executed by PWD (R&B) at allotted cost of ₹39.9 crore.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer to expedite the pace of work and ensure timely completion of the vital connectivity project while maintaining the prescribed quality standards. He stressed that all ongoing developmental projects should be closely monitored and completed within the stipulated timelines to ensure their intended benefits reach the people at the earlies(PTK).
