Two soldiers, one militant killed in Pulwama encounter

SRINAGAR, FEB 12: Two army soldiers, one militant were killed and one soldier was injured in an ongoing encounter at Ratnipora area of Pulwama district.

According to reports Security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Ratnipora around 3 am after getting a tip-off that two to three militants were in hiding in the area.

The Pulwama gunfight ensued after the militants opened fire on the joint team of the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police force (CRPF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police, following which security forces retaliated.
