Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar: Two militants were killed in an encounter that raged between govt forces and militants in Beshember Nagar Khayam area of Srinagar.
An official said that during exchange of fire two militants were killed in the encounter whose identification is being ascertained.
He said that slain were involved in recent attack on CRPF in Maisuma area of Srinagar.
He said that encounter broke out after a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Beshember Nagar Khayam area.
As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said.:-PTK.
