One killed, one more trapped:- Police

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : An encounter broke out between government forces and militants in Khayam chowk area of Srinagar on Sunday.

An official said that during intial exchange of fire one militant has been killed while as one more militant is still trapped.

He said that encounter broke out after a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Beshember Nagar Khayam area.

As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said.:-PTK.
