Tragic Boat Capsizing Claims Three Young Lives in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 16: A serene morning turned into a scene of tragedy as a boat capsized in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, claiming the lives of three students on Tuesday.

According to reports, the incident occurred as the boat carrying several children was crossing the river Jehlum from Gandbal to Batwara. Despite the valiant efforts of the river police, who promptly responded to the distress call, three young lives were lost in the mishap.

While all the students were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, it was with heavy hearts that the medical personnel declared three of them dead upon arrival.

Authorities have sprung into action, with a case registered and investigations underway, as confirmed by a police officer.
