Three went missing after avalanche hits Chak Nallah area of Gurez, later two rescued

Bandipora, Feb (PTK): Three civillians went missing when they came under snow after an avalanche hit them in Chak Nallah area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday.

Soon after the news of  avalanche spread in the area immediately rescue operation was launched  jointly by the police, civil administration, army and locals to trace out the missing persons.

Later, Two civillians were rescued who were identified as Arif Hussain Lone (24) S/o Bashir Ahmad Lone & Mohammad Ismail Lone (25) S/o Ali Mohammad Lone who are residents of Dangithal Gurez and were admitted in Gurez Hospital the third one was identified as Javid Ahmad Lone (22) S/o Ab Aziz Lone of Dangithal Gurez who is still missing.

Rescue operation was going on when this report was filed.
