SRINAGAR, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has invoked Article 311(2)(c) of the Indian Constitution to dismiss six government officials, including policemen. These officials were found to be involved in financing terrorism through the sale of drugs.

The investigation unveiled a narco-terror network orchestrated by Pakistan’s ISI and various terror groups operating from Pakistani soil. The dismissed officials were allegedly integral to this network, facilitating the flow of funds generated from drug sales to support terrorist activities.

The government’s decisive action underscores its commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the integrity of its institutions. The use of Article 311(2)(c), which allows for the dismissal of government employees without an inquiry in cases of national security, highlights the gravity of the situation and the urgent need to address such threats.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges in the fight against terrorism and the need for vigilance within government ranks. The authorities continue to investigate and dismantle networks that threaten national security.
