Residents of Qazigund aghast over unscheduled power-cuts

Qazigund, May 20 (PTK): Government assurances to provide regular power supply during the holy month of Ramadhan have fallen flat with residents of Qazigund sub-division who are facing frequent power cuts.

Abdul Rehman, a resident of Kund told PTK that iftar and sehri are the two important times during Ramadhan, but unfortunately, the power supply often remains suspended or affected at both times.

“Despite paying regular bills, we face unscheduled power cuts during Ramadan,” he added.

AEE PDD, Qazigund, Nisar Ahmad told News agency Press Trust of Kashmir load shedding depends on the load. “We adhered to the curtailment schedule made for each area. Extended power cuts could be a result of fault in the line,” he added. (PTK)
