Say department fails to repair damaged transformer from last two weeks

Ganderbal, Jan 05 (PTK): residents of khan Mohalla kunmulla akhal kangan here on Tuesday staged a protest against the Power Development Department (PDD), alleging that the department has failed to repair a damaged transformer in the area form last two weeks

According to the news agency—Press Trust kashmir(PTK), scores of people, assembled in the main market kangan and staged a protest against PDD and said they fail to repair our damaged transformer from two weeks

The protesters raised slogans against the PDD department and said that they (Authorities) have failed to repair and restore electricity in the area.

“We are facing huge inconvenience in this harsh winter in absence of the power, one of protesting residents said, adding that the transformer in the area developed snag two weeks before but the department has so far failed to repair it, thus leaving the residents to lurch at large.

The protesters told PTK that they will hit streets again if their demand will not be fulfilled at an earliest.

Meanwhile, officials in the PDD department subdivision kangan assured that the genuine demands of the residents will be addressed at an earliest—(PTK)
