Qayoom Wani demands release of pending wages to daily wagers before Eid

 

Srinagar, May 18 (PTK): Former EJAC President and Civil Society Member Abdul Qayoom Wani showed serious concern over the plight of employees working in the capacity of Daily wagers, Casual labours, seasonal, HDF employees and contingent paid employees who have been deprived from timely salary as per minimum wages act and regularisation despite agreements and commitments from the government from time to time.

In a statement issued to PTK, Wani said that these poor employees are being treated as bonded labours and are not being heard with human heart.

He also showed resentment over the injustice met with the employees working under NHM who have been barred from regularisation and other service benefits which they deserve keeping in view their service condition.

Wani said these heath warriors are frontline workers in all situations even in the present situation of covid 19..These employes need additional incentives and encouragement instead of delay delaying tactics in resolving their genuine problems.

Former EJAC president also demanded complete protection kits to the SRTC Employees especially drivers and conductors who are putting their lives at risk for evacuation of stranded passengers, labours, Students, Business class, Patients and bringing them back to their homes from different places within and out side JK.

He also demanded special insurance cover to them besides other frontline warriors fighting against covid 19.

Wani showed solidarity with these employees and assured them full support from Civil Society for their justified struggle. (PTK)
