Pulwama Attack: Slain Cop from Lolab leaves behind distraught family

SRINAGAR JUNE 12 (PTK):  The slain cop, Ghulam Rasool Lone, who was shot dead on Monday late evening in Pulwama grenade attack has left behind a distraught family comprising his ailing parents, wife and three children, who are all students.

Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Gagal Lolab in Kupwara district was killed in a militant attack at police post guarding new court complex in Pulwama, two service rifles were also snatched from them in this incident.

Ghulam Rasool after joining the regular police force in his home state of Jammu and Kashmir used to visit home twice a month as his children are innocent”, says one of his relatives.

“My husband was simply earning his livelihood and taking care of us. Was that his crime? What have the killers achieved now by killing him? Who will feed these orphans now?”, says Halima Bagem, deceased’s wife in a deep and fallen voice.

Azhar Rasool the younger son of slain constable is a student of 7th class, while as his another son Basit Rasool is student of 1st class and his lone daughter Misbah Rasool is studying in 4th standard.

Meanwhile huge number of participated in his funeral procession before he was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard. (PTK)
