Pulwama attack: Curfew imposed in Gujjar Nagar Jammu

Srinagar: Authorities on Friday imposed curfew in Gujjar Nagar area of Jammu city following violent protests against the Pulwama militant attack that left 49 CRPF personnel dead and several others injured.

Reports said that the locals pelted stoned on police torched vehicles in Gujjar Nagar.  Following the violence the authorities imposed curfew in the area. Although reports said that several vehicles have been vandalised and set ablaze, it could not be confirmed yet.  

The Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry had called for a shutdown in Jammu while Jammu Bar Association supported it.

Reports said that a large contingent of forces has been deployed in the area to control the situation.
