Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar: Western Disturbances from next week are going to bring much more winter than you currently are experiencing.

 

From 31 October onwards, a continuous flow of Western Disturbances (with short breaks) will cause the weather to turn cold across Jammu and Kashmir, thus automatically driving up power demand, Independent Weatherman Faizan Aarif said on Saturday.

 

There is no major WD is expected at present, though a WD around 05-06 November has the potential to be moderate in intensity, he said, adding that regardless of the intensity of these WDs, cloudy weather may cause maximum day temperatures to fall below 10°C on some days in parts of Kashmir

 

Meanwhile an official of meteorological department said that as per today’s conditions, whole 1st week of Nov. (1-6th Nov) Starting 1st Nov. weather most likely to remain generally cloudy with possibility of Light to Moderate Rain/Snowfall over middle and higher reaches of J&K at scattered places of J&K(forecast confidence >75%)

 

He said that during this period there will be drastic fall in day temperature and days will be more cooler.

 

Meanwhile Pahalgam recorded lowest temperature In J&K today and Snowfall & low temperature may led to temporary disruption of surface transportation, mainly over Zojila, Mugha Road, Sadnatop, etc.

 

 

Farmers are advised to Harvest their agriculture produces, fruits etc. Which are prone to snowfall & low temperature, he said.a:-PTK.
