SRINAGAR, (PTK): Shouting slogans “stop targeting Jammat, revoke ban”, dozens of PDP workers this afternoon took out a protest rally in Kokernag Anantnag lead by Former MLA AR Rather demanding revocation of ban on Jammat.
Protestors Demand the centre to immediately rollback its order of banning Jammat, the protesting PDP activists said since elections.
They said that Jel is playing a vital role in providing education to thousands of children by running hundreds of quality educational institutes and helping thousands of poor people across the state.
Abul Rahim Rather in his Statement said that Banning of Jamaat-e-Islami, by the present regime, is highly condemnable. Jamaat has been doing commendable service in the field of religion, helping the downtrodden and orphans and in imparting quality education to the students through the schools run by them. Falahi-Aam Trust has produced many meritorious students who are presently serving the society in different fields.
