Pace up registration process of vehicles brought from outside:- Transporters protest in Srinagar
Srinagar June 01 (PTK) Transporters on Wednesday protested in Srinagar and demanded that that authorities must pace up the registration process of vehicles brought from outside.
According to PTK,They said that due to unknown reasons, the process is taking time here while as in Jammu it is taking very less time.
They further added that if J&K is one union territory then when there are two laws in two different divisions.
In absence of registration, our vehicles are everyday challaned and we have to pay thousands every day to release our vehicles, they said
A day before a fine of Rs 20 thousand was imposed on one vehicle and which he will earn in months together, they said, adding that we have already suffered a lot in last three years ang authorities must think about it as well.
If authorities failed to take steps to speed up the registration process we will keep our all vehicles at home, then public as well as tourists will suffer and authorities will be responsible for all consequences.
They requested higher ups to look into the matter and take immediate steps in this regard so that transporters won’t suffer anymore. (PTK)
