One Unidentified Militant killed in Baramulla encounter, operation continue

Srinagar Dec, 24 (PTK) An Unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight which broke out early of Thursday between militants and government forces in North Kashmir’s Wanig Payeen Kreeri area of Baramulla district.

An official told, news agency PTK that a joint team of security forces including Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As soon forces went close to the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon by forces, which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

A Police officer confirmed to PTK said that one unidentified militant has been gunned down, while the gunfight is going on.

Kashmir Police Zone also informed in a tweet “#BaramullaEncounterUpdate: 01 unidentified #terrorist killed. #Operation going on. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice (PTK)
