Omer obdullah to be released today, authorities revoke his detention order

SRINAGAR(PTK)The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday revoked the detention order of former chief minister Omar Abdullah under Public Safety Act (PSA) and it is likely that he will be released today.

Official sources said that Oma will released from eight-month-long detention today. He was detained on August 5 in wake scrapping of Article 370.

Government spokesperson in a tweet said that they have revoked detention order of omar Abdullah.

The decision comes two days after the top court of India asked administration whether it is going to release Omar.

Earlier, the government had also revoked detention order of his father and incumbent parliamentarian, Dr. Farooq Abdullah under PSA(PTK)
