NC, PDP set to face humiliating defeat on day of results
Srinagar, May 7: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Tuesday urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take action against PDP and NC for capturing booths and being involved in bogus voting during the recently concluded poll phase in South Kashmir’s Anantnag.
Interacting with media persons here, Kadfeen said that such actions reflect how bankrupt have NC and PDP become mentally and that they have have foreseen their imminent rout during the polls. He added that it is Congress which will emerge victorious on the day of verdict and that the whitewash of PDP and NC has now become inevitable.
Kadfeen told media that it is high time for the ECI to initiate action against the PDP and NC for capturing booths and bundling people in trucks to cast bogus votes. He added that it has been the legacy of both the parties to weaken the institutions of democracy in the state and that if ECI fails to crack whip against them, same will further alienate people especially youth from the system, bulldozing their trust and weakening their resolve.
Kadfeen said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are eagerly waiting amid high hopes for the Congress to form the next government so that the anarchical and anti-people measures are put to rest and a new era of growth, development and prosperity is ushered in.
