MP Ruhullah Mehdi Holds Public Darbar in Pulwama, Assures Resolution of Public Issues

Pulwama, June 9 (PTK): Member of Parliament from the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, on Monday convened a Public Darbar at Circuit House Pulwama to listen to public grievances, developmental concerns and demands raised by people from different parts of the district.

The Public Darbar witnessed participation from various delegations, representatives of trade bodies, social organizations, Auqaf committees, senior citizens and other stakeholders who projected a wide range of issues affecting their respective areas.

During the interaction, participants highlighted concerns related to several sectors, including education, agriculture, horticulture, healthcare, sports infrastructure, road connectivity, traffic management and public service delivery.

Delegations demanded augmentation of sports facilities, widening and upgradation of roads, strengthening of healthcare institutions, deployment of adequate staff in educational and medical establishments and improvement in traffic management systems across the district.

Addressing the gathering, MP Ruhullah Mehdi assured the participants that issues requiring policy-level intervention would be taken up at appropriate forums, including forthcoming sessions of Parliament.

He said that genuine concerns of the people would be actively pursued with the concerned authorities to ensure their timely redressal and effective resolution.

The Member of Parliament also directed officers of various departments present during the event to take prompt action on genuine grievances and ensure that public issues are addressed in a time-bound manner.

Reiterating his commitment to public welfare and development, Ruhullah emphasized the importance of direct public engagement and said such outreach programmes provide an opportunity to understand ground-level issues and strengthen accountability in governance.

The Public Darbar witnessed active participation from residents and stakeholders from different areas of Pulwama district. District and sectoral officers from various departments were also present and responded to several issues raised during the interaction.PTK)
