Monga pays tributes to Indhira Gandhi on 36th anniversary

Srinagar, Oct 31(PTK): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice-President and former MLC G N Monga today paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 36th death anniversary at Baramulla.

A large number of senior Congress workers and leaders from Baramulla had gathered to pay tributes to late Gandhi. Speaking on the occasion, Monga said late Gandhi continues to be an inspiration for millions of people in the country due to her contributions to India’s growth, both in her domestic and foreign policies.

“Her strong presence in the international scenario helped establish India’s position as an emerging global superpower. Nobody else performed so greatly in this country like late Indira Gandhi did,” Monga said.

The Congress leaders and workers pledged to carry forward the mission of late Gandhi for the welfare and betterment of the people and the country.
