Mirwaiz North Kashmir, Moulana Parray Hassan Afzal Firdousi, pays homage to Dr. Manmohan Singh

Srinagar, December 28 (PTK): Mirwaiz North Kashmir, Mirwaiz North Kashmir, Moulana Parray Hassan Afzal Firdousi, who is also Chairman Muslim Mutahida Mahaaz JK and
Mutahida Aima Form JK, in a statement to Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) has expressed deep anguish on the sad demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Describing him as real voice of minorities in India, Hassan Firdousi said, “Dr. Manmohan Singh was a statesman and believed in sectarian harmony. He was an unparalleled leader of big heart and mind who as the prime minister of #India engaged the true political leadership of Jammu and Kashmir aimed to find the durable and permanent settlement of Jammu and Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of Kashmiris.”
Dr Manmohan Singh was a great economist and statesman, under whose leadership as finance minister brought back India from the economic breakdown in 1994 and saved India from virtual collapse by his policy of liberalization, reads the statement of Mirwaiz North.
“As prime Minister of India he proved one of the greatest leaders of modern India with his secular and socialist ideas resonating with economic vision. I had a chance to meet him along with Muzaffar Shah, Mufti Nasirul Islam and my other team members of Civil Society Coordination Committee in 2016 in Srinagar on his visit along with Gh. Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni and others. We found him the most compassionate and humble person with a lot of wisdom and deep realization of injustices done the people of Kashmir,” said Mirwaiz and concluded his statement that “history will remember the legend for his good deeds humility and statesmanship.” (PTK)
