Militants Attack Army Convoy in Baramulla, Four Dead

SRINAGAR: Four people were killed after militants attacked an army vehicle near Nagin area of Botapathri along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Among the deceased are two civilian porters and two army personnel. Several other soldiers were injured in the attack, which targeted a convoy of the 18 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) near Nagin Dhok.

The injured were swiftly evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment, while a massive counter-operation was launched to track down the assailants.

In the wake of the incident, the Army has heightened security measures across the region. Lt. Gen. Kumar has called for all ranks to maintain the highest level of alertness as operations continue to prevent further attacks and restore stability in the area.
