Mehbooba calls August 05, 2019 decision as undemocratic, unconstitutional

SRINAGAR, OCT 14 (PTK): After being released from 14-month-long detention, the former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti termed August 05, 2019 decision by the government as undemocratic and unconstitutional and said that the decisions continued to haunt her during the detention period.

She added that “i believe that people across J&K are also going through the same situation and nobody amongst us can forget the day when everything was snatched from us”.

“We should vow to fight for our rights that were snatched undemocratically and unconstitutionally by the central government on August 05, 2019. We should also continue our struggle for the Kashmir cause that has so far claimed thousands of lives” she said.

She added that know the path is not easy but I believe that our resolve will help us in achieving the goal and all those who have been arrested should be released. (PTK)
