Man Dies in Tragic Road Accident in Hajjin

HAJJIN, Oct 30: A pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a tractor in the Markundal area of Hajjin, Bandipora district, on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, the man, identified as Mohammad Abdullah Sheikh, 60, son of Ghulam Qadir Sheikh, was critically injured when a speeding tractor hit him. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors referred him to a medical facility in Srinagar for advanced treatment. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

Local police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
