Mahila Congress Mobilizes Support for Surinder Singh Channi in Awantipora

Awantipora, 10 Sept: The Mahila Congress, J&K, held a programme in Awantipora today to mobilize support for the NC-Congress alliance candidate, Surinder Singh Channi, in the upcoming assembly polls.

The event was presided over by Shamima Raina, President of Mahila Congress, J&K, and attended by senior Congress leaders, including Dr. Farooq Ahmad Aga.

Addressing the gathering, Surinder Singh Channi appealed to the people to support the Congress for ensuring peace, prosperity, and development in the region. He highlighted the need for better representation for Awantipora, which has been newly included in the Tral constituency.

Channi assured the people that he would work tirelessly to address their concerns, including the long-pending issue of compensation for land acquired for prestigious projects like AIIMS.

Congress leader Dr. Farooq Ahmad Aga and President, J&K Mahila Congress, Shamima Raina also addressed the participants, urging them to strengthen the party by voting for the alliance candidate, Surinder Singh Channi.
