Police In Baramulla Conducts Surprise Inspection of Medical Shops at Kreeri.

Baramulla, October 05(PTK): As part of its continued efforts to regulate the sale of medicines and prevent the misuse and illicit distribution of pharmaceutical drugs, police in Baramulla, in coordination with the Executive Magistrate and Drug Inspector, conducted a joint surprise inspection of medical shops at Kreeri.

During the inspection, various medical establishments were thoroughly checked to ensure compliance with prescribed drug-control regulations and to verify that no banned, prohibited, or unauthorised medicines were being stored or sold.

The shopkeepers were directed to maintain proper registers, sales records and other requisite documentation, particularly in respect of restricted medicines, and to strictly adhere to all applicable rules and regulations governing pharmaceutical sales. They were further cautioned that any violation of the prescribed norms, including failure to maintain proper records or unauthorised sale of medicines, shall invite strict legal action under the relevant provisions of law.

Police reiterated that such inspections will continue as part of its sustained efforts to curb the misuse of medicines and ensure responsible and lawful pharmaceutical practices across the district.(PTK)
