Kashmir’s Grand Mufti Nasir ul Islam condemns fire incident at Baba Naseebudin Gazi (RA) shrine, demands impartial investigation
Srinagar, June 19 : Expressing his concern over the fire incident at the revered shrine of Baba Naseebudin Gazi (RA) at Sangam area of Eidgah, Srinagar, Kashmir’s Grand Mufti Nasir ul Islam Wednesday said all the shrines hold great importance in the lives of people and incidents like mysterious blaze hurts the sentiments of people beyond words.
In a statement, Grand Mufti said that police must take serious note of the incident and probe all angles of it forthwith. The Grand Mufti said that whosoever is found in this act of torching the shrine should be given an exemplary punishment so that such incidents don’t take place.
Grand Mufti also urged the Waqf Board chairman Dr Darakshan Andrabi to ensure digital surveillance at every shrine across the Valley. He said there should be 24×7 monitoring of all small and major shrines of Valley
